On Monday, November 7, 2005 a good samaratian picked Bucky up off the street where he had been hit by a car and left for dead. The badly injured cat was rushed to a vet and there his right eye was removed and his broken jaw and pallet were wired to be able to heal. Unfortunately, Bucky remained unresponsive and it was assummed he had brain damage so on Friday it was decided he should be euthanized. Apparently there was nothing wrong with the cat's hearing and he immediately started purring, kneeding his paws and asking to be petted. Bucky is much better now and is living at the veterinary hospital awaiting his new forever family and home.
He has only minimal vision in his one remaining eye but he says that will not keep him from being a loving and loyal companion. He is 3 to 5 years old and completely black.
